Looking Back at 2024: A Year of Writing, Growth and New Beginnings

As 2024 comes to an end, I find myself looking back at everything I've written, the challenges I faced, and  the milestones I achieved. This year had been a rollercoaster - balancing a full-time job, personal life, and my passion for writing as never easy, but somehow, I kept going

My Writing Journey in 2024

This year, my focus was mostly on short stories and my ongoing novel, well mostly my novel. I started the year with fresh ideas, high motivation, and a clear goal: to write more and write better.

What I published

πŸ“– Scented Awakening : Memories from the recent past  - Tale of girl whose memory is kickstarted with a smell

πŸ“– The Lethal Keepsake - Sometimes souvenirs are not just mementos; when someone finds something like that, what will happen?

        πŸ“‘Chapter 2 - Cursed? Really?
        πŸ“‘Chapter 3 - Last Day in Rome
        πŸ“‘Chapter 4 - Back to the Burrow

Funny thing, this story was actually supposed to be a short story. But when I first wrote The Lethal Keepsake (short story), I didn't want it to stop there. A lot more scenes popped into my head, and new ideas flowed. I decided to make it a novel.

There were moments I felt stuck, times I doubted my plot direction, and chapters I rewrote a multiple times. But every struggle was part of the process.

Challenges & Lessons Learned

❌ Time Management - Balancing writing with work and the new marriage life made it harder.
❌ Self-Doubt - Some stories sat unfinished because I second-guessed myself too much.
❌ Perfectionism - I realized chasing after perfectionism can sometimes hold me back.

If there's anything 2024 taught me, it's that progress matters more than perfection. Every stories I wrote, even the ones I didn't publish, helped me grow!

Looking ahead to 2025

Next year, I want to write more, publish more, and explore new opportunities. Some of my goals include:
πŸ“Œ Complete my ongoing novel
πŸ“Œ Publish a new novel, exclusively as an ebook.
πŸ“Œ Exploring new platforms to share my writing
πŸ“Œ Writing a lot more short stories and compiling them.

To everyone who read my stories, left comments, or supported me in any way - thank you. Your encouragement means the world to me.

Here's to another year of storytelling!✨πŸ’–
